Blackwood

Spanish Wells is so beautiful,  and the sun is up really early.  We did team work activities today.  Then we traveled on a boat over to Blackwood.  We did lots of work in the community personally I painted a house, and got to meet some of the children.  Tomorrow is the first day of "VBS" and I am very excited to see how God leads me through that.  This trip is really focused on going with the flow.  Before we went back to our homes everyone decided to go bridge jumping.  It was really excitingly scary.  The water down here is really saltly and a beautiful blue.  All of our days are super long.  I officially know all the team members names and hopefully I can remember some of the Bahamian children's names.

Preparing for the trip

On the 14th of January, I volunteered to lead the Children's Ministry team of our trip.  This means I am in charge of planning the "VBS" for the children.  Basically this trip has made me very busy.  I am still so overwhelmed and it still feels so unreal.  I leave in 3 weeks, it's bizarre!!  I have been learning lots of French and so much about the culture in the Bahamas.  There are so many amazing traditions there.  God has truly been challenging me as I prepare for this trip.  Twenty- three days to go until I am in Spanish Wells.  I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me.

I will not be Attending a “Christian” College

College, a journey we’ve all been looking forward to, yet one of the biggest decisions of our lives.  You start to google to find out what options you have, before you know it you are lost.  Lost in the long list of all the different school, the pressure seams to build and you don’t even know what you want/need anymore.  If your smart or gifted then schools “fight” for you, if your average (like me) then you got to roll with the punches and find the school for you.  As I go about finding my college, I now know that I won’t be attending a Christian college and here is why.
