Good Bye Blackwood

Today was our last day in Blackwood I miss all of the children so much already.  It is unsubscribe how much I have learned thus far this week.  I am overwhelmed by love everyone both here in the Bahamas and everyone on my team is so loving.  My heart literally broke when I was saying good bye to all of the Blackwood kids.  We taught all of the children dental hygiene today and I got to help a wonderful girl named Eslaine with her essay.  I have made so many wonderful life time memories and some amazing friends.  Tomorrow is our last day and our free day so I am very excited to make some last minute memories.  I can not even describe what has gone on this week in the Bahamas.

Preparing for the trip

On the 14th of January, I volunteered to lead the Children's Ministry team of our trip.  This means I am in charge of planning the "VBS" for the children.  Basically this trip has made me very busy.  I am still so overwhelmed and it still feels so unreal.  I leave in 3 weeks, it's bizarre!!  I have been learning lots of French and so much about the culture in the Bahamas.  There are so many amazing traditions there.  God has truly been challenging me as I prepare for this trip.  Twenty- three days to go until I am in Spanish Wells.  I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me.

I will not be Attending a “Christian” College

College, a journey we’ve all been looking forward to, yet one of the biggest decisions of our lives.  You start to google to find out what options you have, before you know it you are lost.  Lost in the long list of all the different school, the pressure seams to build and you don’t even know what you want/need anymore.  If your smart or gifted then schools “fight” for you, if your average (like me) then you got to roll with the punches and find the school for you.  As I go about finding my college, I now know that I won’t be attending a Christian college and here is why.
