Live and Learn

"Live as if your were to die tomorrow.  Learn as if you were to live forever."  Ghandi  We all know and are faced with the fact that there is one certainty in life and that is death.  The end of our life's is just around a corner yet we don't know witch one.  As so many people have said in there individual ways "live as if you were to die tomorrow."  Eminem has said "The truth is you don't know what is going to happen tomorrow.  Life is a crazy ride, and nothing is guaranteed."  Witch is how he is expressing the same message.  Live every day through the pain the bumps and bruised with a smile on you face.  Don't we all want to finish this crazy ride with tons of memories a moment for each day that we laughed, found joy in the middle of our pain, or one moment when you pursued you dreams.  Every second counts don't plan on there being a tomorrow.  Matthew 6:33-34 " But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
 
 "Learn as if you were to live forever."  I don't know about you but if I were going to live forever I would want to learn a lot.  You see as Christians don't we live forever so shouldn't we desire to learn more about everything.  Since each person has a different way of learning, teaching, connecting, and living we should learn how to interact with everyone and learn how to share Gods word best.  So lets try to "Live as if you were to die tomorrow.  Learn as if you were to live forever." ~ Ghandi

Have you ever thought about the meaning of success?  Why do we strive to be in the spotlight?  What does God say about being successful?  Mathew 25:14-30 shares with us the parable of the talents.  (Go read it! Preparing for the trip

On the 14th of January, I volunteered to lead the Children's Ministry team of our trip.  This means I am in charge of planning the "VBS" for the children.  Basically this trip has made me very busy.  I am still so overwhelmed and it still feels so unreal.  I leave in 3 weeks, it's bizarre!!  I have been learning lots of French and so much about the culture in the Bahamas.  There are so many amazing traditions there.  God has truly been challenging me as I prepare for this trip.  Twenty- three days to go until I am in Spanish Wells.  I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me.

I will not be Attending a “Christian” College

College, a journey we’ve all been looking forward to, yet one of the biggest decisions of our lives.  You start to google to find out what options you have, before you know it you are lost.  Lost in the long list of all the different school, the pressure seams to build and you don’t even know what you want/need anymore.  If your smart or gifted then schools “fight” for you, if your average (like me) then you got to roll with the punches and find the school for you.  As I go about finding my college, I now know that I won’t be attending a Christian college and here is why. Being a Christian is so much more than following a religion and set of “rules” brought on by a church.  It is the following Christ in every aspect of our lives, and I feel that we have lost that in many ways as a Christian community.  Why would I go to a school when I don’t agree with all that they believe in?  From the experiences I’ve had in the past I know that any school/org...
