Where is home? Are we already home or are we still lost? Moving from Orlando Florida to Murphy North Carolina is bringing up the idea of always being home. What defines home...

When you feel like you belong somewhere or around someone then you are usually comfortable there. "Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God. But you don't listen because you don't belong to God." John 8:47 brings up the concept of belonging to God. Belonging is a personal choice. You belong where ever you are welcomed all you have to do is trust the people who are welcoming you in.   Home is where the heart is... Where is your home?

Have you ever thought about the meaning of success?  Why do we strive to be in the spotlight?  What does God say about being successful?  Mathew 25:14-30 shares with us the parable of the talents.  (Go read it! Preparing for the trip

On the 14th of January, I volunteered to lead the Children's Ministry team of our trip.  This means I am in charge of planning the "VBS" for the children.  Basically this trip has made me very busy.  I am still so overwhelmed and it still feels so unreal.  I leave in 3 weeks, it's bizarre!!  I have been learning lots of French and so much about the culture in the Bahamas.  There are so many amazing traditions there.  God has truly been challenging me as I prepare for this trip.  Twenty- three days to go until I am in Spanish Wells.  I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me.

I will not be Attending a “Christian” College

College, a journey we’ve all been looking forward to, yet one of the biggest decisions of our lives.  You start to google to find out what options you have, before you know it you are lost.  Lost in the long list of all the different school, the pressure seams to build and you don’t even know what you want/need anymore.  If your smart or gifted then schools “fight” for you, if your average (like me) then you got to roll with the punches and find the school for you.  As I go about finding my college, I now know that I won’t be attending a Christian college and here is why. Being a Christian is so much more than following a religion and set of “rules” brought on by a church.  It is the following Christ in every aspect of our lives, and I feel that we have lost that in many ways as a Christian community.  Why would I go to a school when I don’t agree with all that they believe in?  From the experiences I’ve had in the past I know that any school/org...
