A Letter to my readers...

Dear blog reader,
     If you read my blog each week you may have noticed that I am not the best about getting my post out every Friday.  If you have read my blog from the beginning you know that it started when I went on a mission trip, hence Lizzy's Footprints.  My idea for the blog was to post every Friday (Friday's Footnotes) and share with all of you what footprints I was leaving, my view on different subjects, and to share my weaknesses along the way.  As I have blogged over the summer I decided that I needed a mission statement or verse for my blog.  I haven't yet decided what that could or should be.  This upcoming week to start my next series and really a new less crazy path for my blog.  I am going to share with you what my weeks look like though a video.  I want to focus on Psalm 119 as I blog though this next series the 'Roller Coaster of Life: and the faith you need to get through it.'  As a friend has recently reminded me "God is good, so is His plan, it's all up to Him."  I look forward to figuring out where this blog should be going and to showing you my highs and lows though this week.  Who knows if it is going to be a crazy week or not.

Have you ever thought about the meaning of success?  Why do we strive to be in the spotlight?  What does God say about being successful?  Mathew 25:14-30 shares with us the parable of the talents.  (Go read it! Preparing for the trip

On the 14th of January, I volunteered to lead the Children's Ministry team of our trip.  This means I am in charge of planning the "VBS" for the children.  Basically this trip has made me very busy.  I am still so overwhelmed and it still feels so unreal.  I leave in 3 weeks, it's bizarre!!  I have been learning lots of French and so much about the culture in the Bahamas.  There are so many amazing traditions there.  God has truly been challenging me as I prepare for this trip.  Twenty- three days to go until I am in Spanish Wells.  I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me.

I will not be Attending a “Christian” College

College, a journey we’ve all been looking forward to, yet one of the biggest decisions of our lives.  You start to google to find out what options you have, before you know it you are lost.  Lost in the long list of all the different school, the pressure seams to build and you don’t even know what you want/need anymore.  If your smart or gifted then schools “fight” for you, if your average (like me) then you got to roll with the punches and find the school for you.  As I go about finding my college, I now know that I won’t be attending a Christian college and here is why.
