Strong Enough

Biblical success is faithfully using our talents, gifts, and opportunities to glorify God.  Often times we find the world telling us that we aren't strong enough.  Most of the time I find that the ideas of not being strong enough come from with in.  If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.  Often times we look on our to do list think this is more than I can do.  Just like the parable of talents from last week God knows our strengths and our weaknesses.  To get to success and to check off everything on our to do list sometimes we aren't strong enough on our own.  When we finally get low enough we will look up, and maybe that is the point of weakness.  To bring us full circle back into His hands of mercy.  "I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13 is a verse that is true every day.  He gives us strength to power over our weaknesses.  Whether that be patience, humility, contentment, or anything you are struggling with.  I give up I am not strong enough. 


Mathew West's song strong enough shows no mater where we are in our walks with God or life in general everyone hits rock bottom.  Even when we hit the bottom He is right there with open arms.

Have you ever thought about the meaning of success?  Why do we strive to be in the spotlight?  What does God say about being successful?  Mathew 25:14-30 shares with us the parable of the talents.  (Go read it! Preparing for the trip

On the 14th of January, I volunteered to lead the Children's Ministry team of our trip.  This means I am in charge of planning the "VBS" for the children.  Basically this trip has made me very busy.  I am still so overwhelmed and it still feels so unreal.  I leave in 3 weeks, it's bizarre!!  I have been learning lots of French and so much about the culture in the Bahamas.  There are so many amazing traditions there.  God has truly been challenging me as I prepare for this trip.  Twenty- three days to go until I am in Spanish Wells.  I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me.

I will not be Attending a “Christian” College

College, a journey we’ve all been looking forward to, yet one of the biggest decisions of our lives.  You start to google to find out what options you have, before you know it you are lost.  Lost in the long list of all the different school, the pressure seams to build and you don’t even know what you want/need anymore.  If your smart or gifted then schools “fight” for you, if your average (like me) then you got to roll with the punches and find the school for you.  As I go about finding my college, I now know that I won’t be attending a Christian college and here is why. Being a Christian is so much more than following a religion and set of “rules” brought on by a church.  It is the following Christ in every aspect of our lives, and I feel that we have lost that in many ways as a Christian community.  Why would I go to a school when I don’t agree with all that they believe in?  From the experiences I’ve had in the past I know that any school/org...
