Thanksgiving Prayer

Our Dear Father,
     Another great year is coming to an end, a year full of both joy and sorrow.  We praise you for the blessings that have filled each moment.  Acknowledging that you have been and will be faithful through it all.  Our weary, tired, hearts have been revived through your word.  Through unpleasant days, when our eyes overflow with tears we look to you and receive peace.  Breathlessly we stare into your beauty, amazed by the love you have bestowed upon us and the love overflowing from us onto others.  With each breath, we have you our King to praise.  Above all we thank you for your eternal and gracious love.
 
Hallelujah, all glory be to Christ!

Have you ever thought about the meaning of success?  Why do we strive to be in the spotlight?  What does God say about being successful?  Mathew 25:14-30 shares with us the parable of the talents.  (Go read it! Preparing for the trip

On the 14th of January, I volunteered to lead the Children's Ministry team of our trip.  This means I am in charge of planning the "VBS" for the children.  Basically this trip has made me very busy.  I am still so overwhelmed and it still feels so unreal.  I leave in 3 weeks, it's bizarre!!  I have been learning lots of French and so much about the culture in the Bahamas.  There are so many amazing traditions there.  God has truly been challenging me as I prepare for this trip.  Twenty- three days to go until I am in Spanish Wells.  I cannot wait to see what God has in store for me.

I will not be Attending a “Christian” College

College, a journey we’ve all been looking forward to, yet one of the biggest decisions of our lives.  You start to google to find out what options you have, before you know it you are lost.  Lost in the long list of all the different school, the pressure seams to build and you don’t even know what you want/need anymore.  If your smart or gifted then schools “fight” for you, if your average (like me) then you got to roll with the punches and find the school for you.  As I go about finding my college, I now know that I won’t be attending a Christian college and here is why.
