Sometimes We Fall

As you take steps through life you can always get lost.  Even the strongest and best relationships can begin to wander off the healthy path.  We are only human after all.  We have this stubborn need to stray from the path and dive into the thorny bushes.  Even when we see the thorns and know that it will hurt like hell.  Maybe we just have to learn the hard way sometimes.  Mistakes can knock us down and make us weak but in that moment you can decide to face the mistakes and be bigger than the problems.  That is when you gain true strength.  The thorns almost feel more painful as you pull them out, then they did when they first punctured your skin.
When you are walking in any kind of relationship both parties may come to a point where they fall off the path.  They fall off for separate reasons and in no way is it because the other person caused you to fall.  Every other time you trip that person was the one who lifted you back up.  You both have to get up.  With all the strength you have, you must separately turn to God.  Pray without ceasing.  Restore your solid foundation in Christ and let Him pave a clear path before you.  Even once you are strong enough to continue your individual journey you have to trust His will, that it will work out for those who love Him.  Maybe your paths will cross again or maybe they won't.  Maybe you only get to know your true forever friend for a season of your life and not know them forever.  Maybe you never see that person again.  Even with all the maybes at least, that person got to change your life in so many ways for the better.  I now truly know where forever friends come from.  They are gifts from God.  Forever friends change you and help you discover who you are, because of their impact you won't go a day without living in the strength and love of Christ that they showed you.  Forever friendship is a true gift that rarely comes into your life but when it does you will know, you may even call them best friend.  You may not know them forever but they will always be involved in your life and fought for in your prayers.

I've been blessed with many deep friendships, many friendships that may even last a lifetime.  I've also been blessed with a forever friendship or a "soul best friend".  That friendship beautifully changed my life, I will be grateful for the time I had, hope it comes again, and pray God guides me through whatever is right.  I couldn't be more grateful for my opportunity to grow in these coming months as I spend time removing thorns.  With all I am, I will always fight for you, my forever friend.  May God's will be done.  Let's learn to trust God again.
