Proverbs 17:17
"A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity." ~ Proverbs 17:17
This world seams to be full of surface level friendships and popularity contest. Does anyone truly experience friendship? It is difficult to love anyone or anything at all times, but it isn't impossible. As an individual blessed by many deep friendships I feel I have learned about the struggle of loving individuals at all times. Often our idea of love is linked to joy which isn't always the case. I certainly hope my family loves me even when they are angry with me. Love is shown though actions that are often done behind the scenes. Love isn't loud, it is small acts of prayer and constant support. I am proud to say that if I call you friend you are loved at all times.
As friends we are born to support each other in pain, sorrow, and joy. As Proverbs 27:17 states: "Iron sharpens iron, as one man sharpens another." Friends are like a family you get to build around yourself. I have experienced the greatest of friendships. I have found my best-est of friends or my "soul" best friend. I rejoice with my King because I have found my home, my family.
Throw popularity out the window, get deep! Wouldn't you rather have four quarters than 100 pennies? Spread the love of friendship, and stay strong through the pain. (it is worth it)
